A concentrated and passionate recording features the talents of two exceptional musicians. Inbal Megiddo and Jian Liu are more than equal to the task of bringing this glorious music to life, and they do so with great articulation and power. The third and fourth cello sonatas portray an introverted journey of discovery and fulfillment. From the outset of the third sonata, the notion of a solitary journey is evinced by an aura of introverted reflection, beautifully conveyed by these two exceptional musicians.
